Directory list · checked November 2026
Startup and AI tool directories in 2026
There is no shortage of places to submit a product; the problem is choosing. This list groups the main launch platforms and directories by what they actually do — paid placement, permanent listing or AI-tool discovery — and notes the published price where there is one.
How to use this list
- Start with five that match your category, not fifty. A relevant listing on a small site beats an irrelevant one on a large site.
- Separate "traffic" from "links" before you pay. Some platforms send visits for a day; some are a permanent link; very few do both.
- Track what each one sends with UTM parameters or a separate landing path, or you will not know what to repeat.
- Do not pay for domain rating alone. A DR 70 link on a page nobody reads is worth less than a small, relevant directory that sends ten real visitors.

A simple four-week plan
- Week 1: submit to Launchtory and two other AI directories. Free tiers first.
- Week 2: submit to three general directories that match your category.
- Week 3: launch on one launch platform. Pick the one whose audience matches your users, not the one with the biggest logo.
- Week 4: check which listings sent clicks. Pay to upgrade only those — or the ones with an obvious audience fit.
Frequently asked
How many directories should I submit to?
Start with five to ten that match your category, then expand only if they send clicks. Submitting to a hundred at once usually produces links, not users.
Are directory links worth it for SEO?
A link from a relevant, indexed directory can help discovery. Many directory links are nofollow or sponsored, and Google's guidance says paid links should be qualified — so treat links as a bonus, not the goal.
How long does each submission take?
Most manual submissions take five to fifteen minutes. Review times range from same-day to several weeks depending on the directory.
Is this list maintained?
Yes. It was checked in November 2026. Prices and terms change often, so confirm on each site before paying.
