Clean image metadata locally in your browser. No file uploads.
What AI MetaClean helps you do
Images can contain hidden location data, camera identifiers, author details, prompts and AI workflow information. Before sharing an image, people need a clear way to see what is embedded, remove supported metadata and verify the result without uploading private files to another server.
Who AI MetaClean is for
Photographers, designers, content creators and anyone who wants to inspect image metadata and reduce unintended disclosure before sharing JPG, PNG or WebP files.
About AI MetaClean from the developer
AI MetaClean is a free, browser-based metadata cleaner for JPG, PNG and WebP images. Files are processed locally on your device, without uploads or an AI processing API.
Inspect supported EXIF, GPS, XMP and AI-related metadata before cleaning. After cleaning, review a report showing what was removed and what was kept, then download a clean copy. You can load the downloaded image again to check for remaining supported metadata.
Original mode removes supported metadata without recompressing the original image data. Before-and-after checks help explain changes to image data, color information and display orientation, with skipped checks clearly labeled. Batch cleaning is supported, and no account is required.
Built by a product manager who wanted a clearer, more useful interface for metadata inspection and cleanup.
This is a local metadata utility, not an AI-powered image editor. It does not remove visible watermarks or SynthID, guarantee complete anonymity, or guarantee that platforms will remove AI labels.
