Cross Stitch Pattern Generator

Quick Verdict

Cross Stitch Pattern Generator is a web tool that converts a user’s photo into a printable cross-stitch chart, which may help crafters turn personal images into stitchable projects. The website describes charts with symbols, DMC thread colors, and skein counts, but the available information does not establish how consistently the generator handles different image types or levels of detail.

Key Features

• Upload a photo and generate a cross-stitch pattern from it.
• Receive a printable chart that uses stitching symbols.
• See recommended DMC thread colors and estimated skein counts.
• Try a free preview before deciding whether the result is suitable for a project.
• Access free charts and instructional guides through the site’s “stitch school.”

The examples presented include cat photos, wedding-day images, and children’s drawings. These examples suggest the tool is intended for personal and gift-oriented projects, although the website does not clearly state limits for image formats, pattern dimensions, stitch counts, or output resolution.

The project is built and maintained by Antoine as an independent developer. The website also publishes a privacy policy describing data collection, purposes, user choices, and handling of uploaded photos or purchased patterns; Antoine Duno is identified as the data controller. Before uploading a sensitive or private image, verify the current retention, deletion, and security details on the official website.

Complete pricing and purchase details are not clear from the available information. The site confirms a free preview, but readers should verify what is included, whether a downloadable or printable chart requires payment, and whether refunds or customer support are offered.

Who this is for

This appears best suited to cross-stitch hobbyists who want to create patterns from their own photos, including portraits of pets, wedding memories, or children’s artwork. Beginners may also find the free charts and guides useful when learning how to read a pattern.

It may be less suitable for users who need guaranteed color accuracy, precise sizing, commercial-use terms, or strong controls for sensitive uploads. Verify pattern quality, supported browsers and devices, photo handling, pricing, and support policies before relying on it for a large or time-sensitive project.
